Years 3 & 4 Sikh Visitor
Harkirat Singh, from the Sikh Education Service, visited Years 3 and 4 in September. He spoke to each class about his personal journey to becoming a Sikh and the experiences in life that made him the Sikh he is today. The children asked lots of questions and learnt about amrit - the ceremony welcoming people into the Sikh faith and about the importance of the Five K's to Sikhs - kesh (uncut hair), kachera (underclothes), kara (metal circular band), Khanga (comb) and kirpan (ceremonial sword).
