Daily Timetable

10:15 - 10:30 - Break

10:30 - 10:45 - Snack / Assembly / Handwriting

10:45 - 11:45 - Maths

11:45 - 12:45 - Lunch

12:45 - 13:15 - Mental Maths & Spelling

13:15 - 14:30 - Foundation Subject Lesson (dependent on the day, we will be studying: Music, Art, DT, Geography, History, Science, Computing, PE, RE or PSHE).

14:30 - 14:45 - Memory Training

14:45 - 15:00 - Story & Home

PE Days

Children will need to come to school in full PE kit suitable for the weather conditions. Year 2 PE days are follows: Outdoor PE on a Thursday and Indoor PE on a Friday.

Forest School Days

All children will have the opportunity for a 6-week block of Forest School during the course of the year. Further information will be given about this will be given when it is your child's turn to attend the sessions. Year 2 Forest School sessions will take place on either a Monday or a Wednesday.

Homework

Children will receive their homework on a weekly basis, consisting of written spellings and a Maths game. Homework folders will be handed out on a Friday and will be due in the following Wednesday. All children are also expected to read to an adult at home at least three times per week.
